Lot 933: A Victorian style mahogany stained towel rail with barley twist uprights
A mahogany-stained hardwood towel rail, also suitable for use as a quilt or blanket rack, designed in the Victorian style. The piece features four horizontal rails supported by uprights with barley twist (solomonic) turning. The frame is further detailed with turned ball finials and scrolled side brackets. The assembly is raised on two arched trestle feet. A paper auction label for Liskeard Auction Rooms (Lot 933) is adhered to the uppermost rail.
