A mid-20th-century miniature locket charm in the form of a Holy Bible, crafted from gold-toned metal. The front cover is embossed with the title HOLY BIBLE set within a rectangular frame with a decorative scrolling border. The piece is designed as a functional locket, opening on a side hinge to reveal two fixed internal pages printed with a simple Latin cross and the words HOLY BIBLE. The reverse of the charm features a matching decorative border and an impressed rectangular mark reading GERMANY. The locket is fitted with a suspension loop and a small jump ring for attachment to a chain or bracelet.
