Lot 283: A Large Gothic Revival Style Metal and Glass Hanging Lantern
A large square-form decorative hanging lantern of Gothic or Tudor revival style. The piece is constructed from a metal framework, likely iron or steel, and contains inset glass panels. The structure comprises a pyramid-shaped roof topped with a secondary vented turret and a metal hanging loop. Each of the four principal sides features a glass pane overlaid with a diamond-patterned metal wire lattice. No maker’s marks or manufacturer’s stamps are visible on the object. The lantern bears a white auction lot sticker numbered 283 and a secondary price label on the roof.
