Buyer's Premium:

This lot consists of a mixed assortment of decorative ceramics and tablewares, primarily manufactured from glazed earthenware. The collection includes a large oval serving bowl with a deeply scalloped rim, decorated with multiple transfer-printed floral bouquets of roses in pink and orange tones. A notable piece is a figural majolica-style covered dish, where the lid is formed as a cluster of three realistic red and yellow apples with green leaves, sitting upon a base moulded with a green cabbage-leaf pattern. The lot also features a tall art pottery vase with a flaring, wavy rim and a bulbous base, finished with a mottled orange-yellow stipple glaze and hand-painted with geometric bands and stylized floral motifs in brown and ochre. Included is a small decorative jug or creamer with vibrant hand-painted floral designs in blue and yellow on a cream ground. The assortment is completed by a stack of scalloped tea or side bowls with transfer-printed floral sprays and two small circular divided dishes with delicate grey-green borders. No factory marks or backstamps are visible on the items.

Condition report:

The items are generally in good vintage condition. Significant all-over crazing is present on the large floral serving bowl. The figural apple dish exhibits minor surface wear and small areas of paint loss to the glaze on the upper apple surfaces. Minor edge wear and surface abrasions consistent with a mixed box lot are evident across the collection. No major chips or cracks were observed.
