Lot 387: A Collection of Decorative Items comprising Glass Vases and Framed Miniature Pictures
A collection of decorative objects including glass vases and framed pictures. The vases are constructed from opaque white glass with bulbous bodies and flared necks, featuring hand-painted pink floral decoration on brown branches in the style of Victorian Bristol glass. The framed items are set in matching rococo-revival gilded frames. One frame contains a black profile silhouette depicting a child with a bird. Another frame contains a black and white engraving showing an interior scene with figures and partially legible text to the lower right.
Condition report:
The gilded frames exhibit minor surface wear and small losses to the gilding. The glass vases show light surface soiling and signs of handling consistent with age. No visible chips or cracks are observed on the glassware.
