Lot 668: A Pair of Beswick Beatrix Potter Porcelain Figurines, Timmy Tiptoes and Goody Tiptoes
This lot comprises a pair of hand-painted porcelain figurines from the Beatrix Potter series, produced by the renowned manufacturer Beswick in England. The set includes two anthropomorphic squirrel characters: Timmy Tiptoes and Goody Tiptoes. Timmy Tiptoes is depicted seated on a green grassy base, wearing a red jacket and holding a nut. Goody Tiptoes is shown in a standing pose, dressed in a pink patterned dress with a yellow shawl. Both figurines feature a high-gloss glazed finish with fine hand-painted details. The bases of both figures are marked with the standard black circular printed backstamps including the text BEATRIX POTTER’S, the respective character name, BESWICK, and ENGLAND, alongside the copyright attribution to F. Warne and Co. Ltd. Both items also retain their original green and gold Beswick foil stickers on the underside.
