Lot 1017: A large 20th-century Tudor revival oak dresser in the style of Old Charm
This large two-piece oak dresser is constructed in the Tudor revival style, characteristic of 20th-century British furniture. The upper tiered display section features a central open alcove with a carved arched top and two shelves, flanked by a pair of small cupboards fitted with leaded glass doors in a diamond pane pattern. The sideboard base contains four cupboard doors, each decorated with carved recessed panelling. The central pair of doors is smaller than the outer two. The piece is finished with a carved frieze above the cupboard doors and is fitted with decorative black metal butterfly hinges and drop-ring handles. It is constructed from dark-stained oak and oak veneers. No maker’s marks are visible; however, the piece is in the style of Wood Bros Old Charm furniture.
