Lot 535: A Collection of Seagull Pewter Ornaments, an Antique Cased Photograph and a Miniature Frame
This collection comprises an assortment of decorative metalware and photographic items. Included are two boxed pewter photo ornaments produced by Seagull Pewter of Pugwash, Nova Scotia, Canada. One ornament features a foliate openwork border, while the other is a commemorative piece dated 1999, featuring a circular frame with a red fabric backing. Both are housed in original green presentation boxes, one of which bears a modern auction label for HCP Auctions South West. Also included is a nineteenth-century portrait photograph, possibly an ambrotype or daguerreotype, presented in a square case with a gilt-metal internal mount and textured outer finish. The collection is completed by an ornate miniature double photo frame in the Rococo revival style, featuring intricate scrolled and foliate openwork decoration in a cast metal with a bronze-coloured finish.
