Lot 547: Brahms, J. & Haydn, J. A Collection of Piano Solo Complete Edition Volumes. Könemann Music Budapest.
A collection of softcover sheet music volumes for solo piano from the Complete Edition series published by Könemann Music Budapest. The lot comprises Urtext editions of works by Johannes Brahms and Joseph Haydn. The Brahms volumes are presented in orange-toned paper wrappers with a stylised red musical note motif, containing titles such as Sonaten & Variationen and 5 Studien & 51 Übungen. The Haydn volumes feature pale green paper wrappers with a stylised grey musical note, including Klavierstücke. The volumes are printed with multilingual titles and subtitles in German, English, and French and are formatted in large quarto. The publisher’s mark for Könemann Music Budapest is visible on the lower section of the front covers.
Condition report:
The volumes exhibit moderate shelf wear consistent with use, including rubbing, bumping, and light creasing to the edges and corners of the paper wrappers. One Brahms volume bears a white adhesive label with 1080 handwritten in red ink and a small auction lot sticker numbered 547. The spines show light wear but remains sound. Internal pages appear generally clean and well-preserved.
