Lot 592: Three Goebel Hummel Porcelain Figurines including Star Gazer, Postman, and The Little Landscaper
A trio of hand-painted porcelain figurines manufactured by Goebel in Germany, featuring the designs of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel. The collection consists of three individual pieces with varying themes and production marks.
The first figurine is titled Postman (Hum 119/2/0), depicting a boy in a blue uniform with a red bow tie, carrying a mailbag over his shoulder and holding a sealed envelope. The base is marked with the blue Goebel TMK-7 stamp, a copyright date of 1985, and an incised model number 119 2/0.
The second figurine is The Little Landscaper (Hum 2030), produced as a special Millennium 2000 First Issue. It portrays a boy in an orange-red jacket and brown shorts holding a trowel, with a bucket of cement at his feet. The underside bears the blue Goebel TMK-7 stamp dated 1997, an incised 2030 7 mark, and a blue oval stamp reading First Issue Millennium 2000.
The third figurine is Star Gazer (Hum 132), showing a boy kneeling on a rectangular base as he looks through a large telescope mounted on a tripod. The base is marked with the blue TMK-5 The Last Bee symbol, a black Western Germany stamp, and an incised model number 132.
