Lot 600: A Collection of Rare Dianne Sanders Broadstairs Studio Stoneware Tableware in Lovely Condition
A collection of vintage mid-20th century studio stoneware tableware featuring a rustic aesthetic. The pieces are constructed from heavy-walled stoneware and finished in a speckled oatmeal glaze. The primary decoration consists of concentric throwing rings, giving the items a hand-crafted appearance. Several pieces, including the twin-handled soup bowls and mugs, feature an impressed geometric band highlighted in a brown oxide glaze. This band comprises a central row of circles with interior dots, bordered by repeating triangular motifs. The collection includes multiple twin-handled soup bowls with matching saucers, circular dinner and side plates, and cylindrical mugs. The specific decorative patterns and glaze are highly characteristic of the output from Broadstairs Pottery, Kent and are stamped to the underside
