Lot 390: Two Utilitarian Vessels comprising a Glass Demijohn and a Two-Tone Stoneware Flagon
This lot consists of two storage vessels of traditional form. The first is a clear glass demijohn with a bulbous body and a single loop handle applied to the neck. The glass shows a slight natural greenish tint. The second vessel is a cylindrical stoneware flagon featuring a narrow neck and a single loop handle. It is finished with a traditional two-tone glaze, with a honey-brown salt-glaze on the upper section and handle over a cream-coloured lower body. Neither item displays visible maker’s stamps, capacity marks, or inscriptions.
