Lot 403: A Trio of Thomas Ivory Bavaria Porcelain Serving Pieces
A trio of Thomas Ivory (Bavaria) porcelain serving items comprising a covered vegetable tureen, a gravy boat with an integral underplate, and an oval serving platter. Each piece is constructed from ivory-toned porcelain and features a moulded fluted design with scalloped edges. The rims, handles, and finials are decorated with hand-applied gold gilding. The base of the pieces bears a green printed backstamp featuring Thomas Ivory in script above a shield containing the words Thomas over Bavaria. Below the printed mark are hand-painted numbers 01716 and .58 in red enamel. One piece features an impressed number 400.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or signs of professional restoration. There is minor surface dust and light rubbing to the gold gilding on the handles and rims, consistent with age and use.
