Lot 405: Vintage Mid-20th Century Leather Cased Mens Grooming and Toiletry Travel Set
A vintage mens vanity and toiletry travel kit presented in a textured brown leather zippered case, likely pigskin. The interior is lined with tan ribbed fabric and contains a selection of grooming accessories. The set includes a wooden-backed clothes brush with natural bristles, a clear glass bottle with a white plastic screw-cap, and two cylindrical chrome-plated metal containers intended for a shaving brush and shaving soap. Also included is a vintage three-piece open-comb safety razor with a knurled handle, a pink plastic comb, a small leather pouch for spare blades, and a wooden manicure stick. The interior fabric lining features several handwritten ink inscriptions including the numbers 1162690 and 587902, alongside the initials J.H.B. and B.T.W., which are characteristic of military service markings. The case is fitted with a metal zip and a leather pull tab.
