Lot 934: Large 19th Century Mahogany Folio Cabinet
A large nineteenth-century mahogany folio or sheet music cabinet of single-piece construction. The cabinet features a deep stepped cornice above two doors with recessed rectangular panels hung on brass butt hinges. The left-hand door is fitted with a recessed brass flush-mount bolt at the top rail, and the right-hand door contains a brass-lined keyhole with a functional skeleton key present. The interior is configured with a series of fixed vertical wooden dividers designed for the upright storage of large-format documents, folios, or sheet music. The whole is raised on a simple plinth base with four turned mahogany bun feet. No maker marks or manufacturer labels are visible.
