This lot consists of a green backstamped 24 carat lustreware vintage coffee pot belongs to the decorating studio of Leni Parbus (later operated by her son, Erich Parbus) located in the town of Oberkotzau, Bavaria, Germany.History & Mark Details The Studio: Leni Parbus started her porcelain decoration studio in 1904. The studio purchased blank white porcelain bodies from major regional factories and hand-decorated or gilded them in-house.The Shield Logo: The emblem features a green shield topped by a crown with stylized monogram letters inside (often reading as a combination of “PP” or “LP” for Porzellanmalerei Parbus / Leni Parbus).The “FOREIGN” Stamp: The word “FOREIGN” stamped below the shield indicates that this item was specifically designated for export after World War II. This designation was used primarily during the late 1940s and 1950s for shipments to international markets (like the UK) that had restricted imports explicitly labeled “Germany” or “West Germany”. The lot also includes a carriage-style desk clock and a hand made and 24 carat gold decorated porcelain cup and saucer from Hoffmann of Rehau, Germany. The Metamec quartz clock features a gold-toned metallic case with a curved clear face. The off-white dial is marked with black Roman numerals and needle-style hands, with the maker name at the twelve o’clock position and Made in England at the base.
