Lot 616: Late Victorian Sterling Silver Repousse Floral Sweetmeat Dish by Josiah Williams and Co 1894
A collection of five British award medals and fobs, comprising one hallmarked sterling silver St John Ambulance Association medal and four decorative fobs. The St John Ambulance Association medal is in the form of a Maltese cross, featuring a central boss with the organisation name and emblem. The reverse is stamped with the number 471556 and Birmingham hallmarks for sterling silver, including the anchor and lion passant symbols. Three of the fobs are associated with the W.D.T.S., likely representing a regional dog training society. These include an ornate shield-shaped fob inscribed OBEDIENCE to the reverse, and two circular laurel wreath fobs, one inscribed 2ND. and the other OBEDIENCE TINA. The final item is an ornate shield-shaped fob with a plain central circular boss and scrolling foliate decoration. All items are made of silver or white metal and feature intact suspension loops.
