Lot 706: A set of four cut crystal brandy balloons in the Lismore style
This lot consists of one large crystal pitcher and five matching stemmed drinking glasses, featuring a cut pattern from Royal Doulton. Each piece is crafted from clear lead crystal. The decoration consists of a lower band of deep diamond-cut cross-hatching and an upper band of radiating, vertical fan cuts. The pitcher has a bulbous body, a wide pouring spout, and an integrated handle featuring horizontal notched detailing. The base of the pitcher is finished with a multi-point star cut. The five stemmed glasses feature matching cut patterns on the bowls, supported by plain, un-cut stems and circular feet. No etched maker marks are visible on the pieces. A small paper label with the handwritten number 13 is located on the underside of one glass foot.
