Lot 973: An Assortment of Household and Decorative Items Including a Tusk-Form Ornament and Kitchenware
A 20th-century mahogany serpentine-fronted bachelor’s chest of drawers produced in the George III taste. The top surface is finished with book-matched figured flame mahogany veneers and features a cross-banded border. The case is configured with four graduated drawers, each faced with matching flame mahogany veneers and fitted with brass swan-neck handles on shaped backplates. The chest is designed with chamfered front corners and is raised on traditional bracket feet. Visible contemporary labels on the top surface include a lot label for MOP Auctions South West and an inventory tag. The drawers are constructed with solid wood sides.
