Lot 1196: A Large Reproduction Glazed Mahogany Corner Display Cabinet in the Georgian Style
This floor-standing corner display cabinet is a mid-20th-century reproduction in the Georgian style, constructed from mahogany. The piece features a prominent serpentine-shaped pediment and door frames decorated with light wood stringing inlay. The upper section is fitted with twin glazed doors featuring wooden astragal glazing bars in a decorative pattern that includes pointed arches at the top. The interior is lined with a neutral-toned patterned fabric and contains three shelves, providing four display levels. The cabinet is equipped with a single lock, and two keys are present as indicated by an attached handwritten tag reading CORNER CABINET 2 KEYS.
