Lot 1197: An Arts and Crafts style oak leaded glass display cabinet
An oak display cabinet or bookcase of two-piece construction in the Arts and Crafts style. The upper section features twin doors with decorative leaded glass panels, incorporating stylized foliate motifs, textured glass upper panels, and small green-tinted glass inserts at the base of the leaded sections. The interior is fitted with three wooden shelves. The lower section comprises a cupboard base with two solid oak panelled doors, all supported by a continuous plinth base. The cabinet is fitted with patinated metal drop handles on decorative backplates and matching escutcheons. The design is heavily influenced by early 20th-century Art Nouveau aesthetics, resembling revivalist pieces produced by manufacturers such as Wood Bros under the Old Charm range.
