Lot 174: An Assortment of Sterling Silver and Silver-Plated Tableware and Commemorative Items
This collection comprises a variety of silver and silver-plated items intended for tableware and decorative use. Included is a pair of sterling silver sugar tongs with spoon-shaped ends, featuring hallmarks for Herbert Bushell & Son Ltd, assayed in Birmingham with the date letter for 1919. A silver-plated handled mug features chased floral and scrollwork decoration and a beaded rim, marked EP GS for Electro-Plated German Silver and RPOL. The lot also contains a small silver-plated measure marked Kingsway Plate by Sanders & Mackenzie, EPNS A1. A pair of commemorative napkin rings are inscribed To Commemorate the Birth of H.R.H. Prince Henry 15th September 1984. Additional items include a large cylindrical sugar shaker with a perforated cap, a footed egg cup, a footed pepperette, a pair of tea infuser tongs, and a miniature candlestick.
