Lot 306: A Small Stained Pine Bedside Chest with Incised Geometric Fretwork
A small bedside chest constructed from solid knotty pine with a medium-brown stained finish. The front frame features a continuous decorative incised geometric fretwork border. The unit is configured with a single upper drawer fitted with two turned wooden knobs, positioned above an open rectangular storage compartment. The internal drawer box is constructed from a lighter secondary wood with machine-made joinery. The chest is designed with a flat top and a simple plinth-style base. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible, although a contemporary auction lot sticker is affixed to the side.
