Lot 495: A Collection of Kit-built OO/HO Gauge Model Railway Buildings and Scenic Structures
A collection of approximately kit-built model railway scenic structures and buildings, in the style of British manufacturers such as Superquick or Metcalfe, intended for use with an OO or HO gauge layout. The items are constructed from printed cardboard and paper and depict various railway and town architectural styles. The collection includes two station platform sections featuring printed brickwork, canopies, and station signage for Way Out and Parcels & Left Luggage. A prominent feature is a large industrial goods shed or warehouse with a grey corrugated-style roof, skylights, and three sets of double green doors. The domestic and town buildings include a large red-brick station house or hotel with multiple chimneys, a row of terraced houses with gabled roofs, and a stone cottage. Additionally, there are several small outbuildings, sheds, and railway-side huts, one of which bears Great Western Railway (G.W.R.) lettering.
