Lot 499: Two items comprising a yellow glazed ceramic bread bin and a pack of clear food bags
A lot consisting of a decorative ceramic bread bin and a large pack of clear food bags. The bread bin is an oval, footed storage crock made of glazed earthenware with a bright yellow finish. The piece features a matching domed lid topped with a scroll finial. The body and lid are decorated with relief-moulded scrollwork and wheat motifs, with the front displaying the word BREAD in embossed lettering. No maker’s marks or backstamps are visible. The style is in the manner of mid-20th century kitchen storage vessels. Also included is an unopened pack of 1000 clear LDPE (low-density polyethylene) bags, identified as suitable for food use.
