Lot 552: An Assortment of Military Field Equipment, Survival Gear, and Insignia
This lot comprises a collection of field and survival equipment together with various military and civilian insignia. The collection features a black plastic high-capacity water bottle, likely a water purification model, marked with patent pending number 6013626-6804 and molded text reading KEEP AWAY FROM HEAT OR FLAME. A pair of nesting aluminium mess tins contains a liquid-filled baseplate compass with a red lanyard and two small folding metal field stoves. Also included is a further small folding metal camp stove, unused in its original plastic packaging and cardboard box. The lot includes a heavy-duty olive drab wool utility blanket, a green canvas webbing field pouch with metal belt attachment clips of British Army pattern, and a padded case in Multi-Terrain Pattern camouflage. The insignia portion consists of a group of embroidered patches, primarily of US military and Scouting origin. Examples include a US Army 1st Infantry Division shoulder sleeve insignia, a 3rd Ranger Battalion scroll, a Boy Scouts of America Twin Peaks Council patch for Idaho and Wyoming, and a Scout fleur-de-lis badge.
