Lot 564: A Tiffany-style stained slag glass pendant lampshade with grapevine decoration
A large dome-shaped pendant lampshade in the Tiffany style. The shade is constructed using the lead came or copper-foil technique, featuring irregular, mosaic-style panels of variegated cream and tan marbled slag glass. The lower body is decorated with a horizontal band depicting clusters of dark purple grapes amongst vibrant green leaves. The top aperture is bordered by dark red rectangular glass tiles. Internally, the shade is fitted with a patinated metal crossbar assembly containing a hanging hook and a single light bulb socket. An auction label reading Liskeard Auction Rooms Lot 564 is attached to the exterior of the shade.
