Lot 586: Brass Electric Table Lamp in the Style of a Victorian Oil Lamp
An electric table lamp designed in the style of a Victorian paraffin or oil lamp. The piece features a polished brass-tone metal font and a stepped circular base. It is equipped with a white opaque milk glass globe shade and a clear glass interior chimney. The burner assembly is fitted with an ornamental turn-key. The lamp has been manufactured or converted for electrical use and is fitted with a white electrical cord and a standard UK three-pin plug. Embossed decorative patterns are visible around the brass collar below the shade, although no specific maker’s marks are discernible.
