Lot 679: A Collection of Blue and White Delftware and Transfer-Printed Ceramics
A collection of blue and white glazed earthenware ceramics, comprising items in the Dutch Delft style and a transfer-printed bowl. The assortment features plates decorated with hand-painted scenes of windmills and sailboats in traditional Dutch landscapes. One plate is marked on the reverse with a hand-painted blue device consisting of a diamond enclosing a cross flanked by four stars, alongside the notations 51, D.P., DELFT, Ako, and B7. The collection also includes a flared vase decorated with a windmill and birds in flight, and a set of coasters in a matching holder featuring floral and windmill motifs. A small bowl decorated with the traditional Blue Willow pattern, featuring pagodas, trees, and bridges, is also present.
