Lot 820: A Windsor-style hoop-back side chair with distressed painted finish
A Windsor-style side chair featuring a continuous steam-bent timber hoop back containing six vertical turned spindles. The solid wood seat is saddle-shaped, displaying a prominent grain consistent with elm. The chair is supported by four tapered, splayed legs without stretchers, a design characteristic of mid-20th-century interpretations of the traditional Windsor form. The entire piece is finished in a heavily distressed grey paint. Two white adhesive inventory labels are present on the seat: one bearing the printed number 820 and another with the handwritten number 1080. No permanent manufacturer marks or stamps are visible.
Standard side chair height and proportions.
