Lot 974: Mid-20th Century Jacobean Revival Carved Oak Court Cupboard Sideboard
A mid-20th century Jacobean Revival style oak court cupboard, also known as a buffet or sideboard with a raised cupboard. The piece is constructed from oak with a dark-stained finish. The upper section features a central cupboard door decorated with a carved geometric floral lozenge, flanked by canted side panels. The base section contains two drawers with vertical fluted carving, positioned above a double-door cupboard. Each lower cupboard door is inset with a carved lozenge panel matching the upper design. The furniture is fitted with decorative brass-effect butterfly hinges and small metal drawer pulls. This design is characteristic of British furniture manufacturers such as Wood Bros (Old Charm) and Jaycee from the mid-to-late 20th century. No manufacturer’s marks or brand labels are visible on the exterior surfaces. The vintage kitchen scale and other loose objects shown on the top surface are not included in this lot.
