Lot 72: Vintage Indian Style Etched Brass Bud Vase with Enamel Inlay
A vintage brass bud vase of traditional form, likely originating from India. The vessel features a wide, flared trumpet rim leading to a slender neck and a bulbous central body, terminating in a stepped, circular base. The central section is decorated with hand-engraved foliate and floral motifs, highlighted with red and black pigment infill in a champleve style. The neck and foot are further embellished with incised geometric bands and repeating chevron patterns. Parallel lathe-turning marks are visible on the interior of the rim and across the exterior surfaces. No maker marks or stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces shown.
