Lot 118: A Silver-Plated Georgian Pattern Helmet Cream Jug by J.B. Chatterley & Sons Ltd
A silver-plated cream jug designed in the Georgian revival helmet pattern. The vessel features a broad, flared pouring spout and a slender, high-looping handle. The base of the jug is stamped with the maker’s mark for J.B. Chatterley & Sons Ltd, a Birmingham-based firm of silversmiths and electroplaters. Additional marks on the base include E.P.N.S., confirming the material as electroplated nickel silver, and a MADE IN ENGLAND stamp. The item is accompanied by its original delivery note from Eustace G. Parker Ltd., dated 2nd December 1982, describing the piece as a Georgian Pattern Cream Jug.
