Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £3

Estimated price: £3 - £8

Buyer's Premium:

A pair of large, dark-stained quarter-sawn oak tabletop panels, featuring clipped corners designed to form an octagonal surface when joined. These sections appear to be salvaged from a late Victorian or Edwardian period extending dining table. The wood is characterised by prominent medullary rays, frequently referred to as tiger oak. The construction shows evidence of its original function, with the undersides displaying marks and discoloration where structural supports, runners, or hinges were previously attached. A small white paper inventory label is adhered to one panel, bearing the printed number 085, though further text is illegible. No maker’s marks, stamps, or signatures are visible on the timber.
