Lot 494: A Trio of Decorative Ceramic Items comprising Two Novelty Teapots and a Windmill Figurine
This collection consists of three decorative ceramic items. The first is a square-bodied novelty teapot featuring transfer-printed scenes titled A Round of Golf, depicting figures in eighteenth-century sporting attire. The detachable lid is decorated with a blue and green tartan pattern and is topped with a clock tower finial. Gilded highlights are present on the handle, spout, and finial. The second item is a teapot modelled as a Tudor-style gabled house with half-timbered architectural details, leaded windows, and a tiled roof. The third item is a small Dutch windmill figurine executed in a blue-and-white Delft style with hand-painted foliate and floral motifs. No manufacturer marks are visible on the bases of these items.
