Lot 493: A Trio of Decorative Lacquered Coconut Shell Bowls
This lot features three decorative bowls fashioned from natural coconut shells. Each bowl is finished with a vibrant, high-gloss lacquered interior in a different colour: one magenta, one bright red, and one metallic purple. The exteriors of the bowls retain the natural brown, fibrous texture and organic shape of the coconut husk. These contemporary items are handmade, resulting in slight variations in form and size between the pieces. Each bowl contains a white adhesive paper label with handwritten markings, including R249 on the red bowl and 999 on the purple bowl. No permanent maker marks, signatures, or factory stamps are visible on the items.
