Lot 553: A Collection of Royal Copenhagen Quaking Grass Pattern Porcelain Tableware
A collection of Royal Copenhagen fine porcelain tableware in the Quaking Grass pattern. The set includes multiple coffee or tea cups and matching circular side plates or saucers. Each piece is decorated with a hand-painted botanical illustration of quaking grass in green and brown tones, complemented by a pale green border and fine gilded rims. The cups feature a tapering form with distinctive angular, geometric handles. The undersides of the pieces bear the green circular Royal Copenhagen factory mark with a crown and Denmark. A horizontal bar placed under the letter G in the word Copenhagen dates the production of these pieces to between 1969 and 1974. Additional markings include the three blue wavy lines and hand-painted pattern numbers 884 / 9481.
