Lot 829: A decorative pine washstand and matching hand-painted ceramic pitcher and basin set
A modern pine washstand featuring an integrated rectangular mirror with an arched top, mounted between two turned supports. The piece is constructed with turned legs and features a shaped lower shelf. The frame and legs are finished in cream-coloured paint with light blue accents on the turned rings, while the tabletop and lower shelf maintain a natural wood finish. The lot includes a matching earthenware pitcher and circular basin set. Both ceramic pieces feature hand-painted rustic-style decoration of stylised floral motifs in a palette of blue, yellow, green, and rust-red on a cream ground. The rims and neck are finished with broad concentric bands of colour. The decoration is applied under a clear glaze. There are no visible maker’s marks, backstamps, or signatures on either the furniture or the ceramics.
