Lot 608: A Wade porcelain Viking Vase in original presentation box
A mid-20th-century porcelain novelty vase in the form of a Viking longship, produced by Wade Porcelain in England. The vessel features a moulded design comprising a dragon-head prow, an upturned stern, and a row of five circular shields along the gunwale on each side. The piece is finished in a high-gloss mottled brown and tan glaze. It is accompanied by its original two-part illustrated cardboard presentation box, the lid of which is printed with an image of a longship and the text VIKING VASE by Wade Porcelain MADE IN ENGLAND. A white adhesive label with the handwritten number 13 is present on the turquoise-coloured base of the box.
