Lot 649: A Collection of Hand-Painted and Carved Elephant Figurines and Decorative Dish
A collection of decorative elephant objects, comprising five standing figurines and one functional dish. The group includes a pink elephant decorated with orange and red floral motifs, a dark green elephant with white floral patterns, and an ochre-yellow elephant featuring black and white scrollwork. A dark brown carved elephant is included, featuring a gold-painted saddle with recessed detailing. The collection also contains a small stylized elephant with a yellow body and colourful blue and green swirl designs. Completing the lot is a reclining elephant whose back forms an open red-painted shallow dish, featuring yellow and orange geometric border patterns. These items appear to be crafted from painted resin and carved wood, consistent with traditional South Asian decorative arts.
