This lot consists of two pieces of Royal Doulton stoneware. The first item is a Slaters Patent vase of bulbous ovoid form with a flared neck and a pedestal foot. It features a lace-impressed textured body hand-decorated with turquoise and white enamel floral motifs. The neck and foot are finished in a dark brown glaze with gilded highlights. The base displays the Royal Doulton Lion and Crown backstamp used circa 1902-1922, the DOULTON & SLATERS PATENT stamp, the number 1948, and the incised mark X 5023. Artist monograms for Maud Bowden and Lizzie Blower are also incised. The second item is a stoneware bowl with a deep cobalt blue glazed interior and a natural buff-toned unglazed exterior. The base is marked with the Royal Doulton Lion and Crown backstamp used between 1922 and 1956, the incised number 7841, and a single incised letter F.
