Lot 665: A Collection of Four Assorted Walking Sticks and Canes
A collection of four walking sticks and canes encompassing various traditional and modern styles. The first item is a decorative walking stick featuring a cast brass Derby handle with relief scrollwork and foliate patterns, mounted on a polished reddish-brown hardwood shaft with a metal collar. The second is a traditional bentwood walking stick with an integral crook handle and a light-toned wooden shaft, possibly ash or chestnut, bearing a lot label for HP Auctions numbered 591. The third stick is constructed from bamboo or rattan with an integral curved crook handle and characteristic dark nodes at intervals. The fourth item is a modern adjustable walking pole with a telescopic black-coated metal shaft, a moulded plastic handle, and a trekking basket over a metal spike. All items are fitted with black rubber ferrules.
