Lot 704: A Set of 14 Mixed Tiger's Eye and Hawk's Eye Semi-Precious Stone Dress Studs
This set of 14 dress studs or removable buttons features polished cabochon semi-precious stone tops. The collection includes two varieties of chatoyant quartz: eight pieces of golden-brown tiger’s eye and six pieces of dark blue-grey hawk’s eye. Each stone is set into a circular white metal mount. The reverse of each stud is constructed with a fixed central post and a flat circular base, designed for use with formal shirts or waistcoats. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are present on the mounts. The items are accompanied by a plastic container with descriptive labels.
