Lot 707: A Set of Six Hong Kong White Metal Souvenir Teaspoons
A set of six souvenir spoons, each featuring a distinct Hong Kong-themed handle. The decorative finials include a rectangular plaque with the embossed text HONG KONG, a trio of medallions with Chinese characters, a multi-tiered pagoda, a rickshaw and puller, a traditional sailing junk, and a cash coin with a square central aperture. The spoons are manufactured from white metal, currently displaying a heavy dark tarnish and iridescent oxidation across the bowls and handles. The set is presented in the original blue fabric-lined box with a patterned exterior. No hallmarks are visible on the front of the pieces.
