Lot 736: A Collection of Religious and Musical Volumes including The Soldier's Bible and Oxford Common Prayer
A collection of religious and musical volumes in various formats ranging from pocket-sized to octavo. The group includes The English Hymnal with Tunes, bound in green publisher’s cloth. Two editions of the Holy Bible are present: a pocket-sized illustrated edition published by Collins, housed in a blue cardboard slipcase with a blue ribbon marker, and a larger illustrated edition featuring a heavily textured black binding. The collection further includes a pocket-sized volume titled The Soldier’s Bible bound in brown cloth, and a volume of Common Prayer published by Oxford University Press, featuring a black grained binding with gilt lettering to the spine.
