Lot 890: A Collection of Cut Crystal Whisky Tumblers and Stemmed Wine Glasses
A collection of cut lead crystal glassware comprising a set of twelve whisky tumblers and a set of six stemmed wine glasses. The tumblers are decorated with a deeply cut decorative band featuring multi-pointed sunburst stars interspersed with cross-hatched diamond panels, while the lower portion of the bowl is finished with vertical fan-like cuts. The underside of each tumbler features a deeply incised multi-pointed radial star. The coordinating set of stemmed wine glasses features bowls decorated with elongated vertical fan or leaf-style cuts. The stems are designed with a prominent faceted diamond knop situated just below the bowl, and the feet are finished with matching radial star cuts to the underside. The crystal displays high clarity and brilliance throughout.
