Lot 934: A Collection of Assorted Hardback Books including Gardening, Regional History, and Literature
An assortment of books, primarily hardbacks, featuring a variety of subjects with a focus on British regional interest, horticulture, and classic literature. The collection includes When Where Why & How It Happened (Reader’s Digest), Wessex Images by John Chandler, and Wanderings in Wessex. Gardening titles are well represented with Calendar of Garden Lore by Julia Jones and Barbara Deer (Dorling Kindersley), Arthur Billitt’s ABC of Fruit Growing (Hamlyn), and Delphiniums and Campanulas. Literary and general interest works include A Bored Casson is a Dangerous Person by John Casson, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abbey Library), Shakespeare’s Flowers (Longman), and The War Poets 1914-18.
