Lot 945: Gnome Alpha British Made Vertical Photographic Enlarger
A Gnome Alpha vertical photographic enlarger manufactured in Great Britain. The apparatus consists of a metal lamp house finished in a grey hammered crackle enamel, mounted onto a vertical chrome-finished support column. The column is secured to a rectangular plywood baseboard. The unit incorporates a black folding bellows system with a lens assembly at the base. A swivelling red safety filter is attached to the lens stage. The lamp house is marked with an oval blue and silver-tone label reading GNOME BRITISH MADE and a rectangular black and silver-tone label featuring Alpha in script lettering. The enlarger is equipped with a white power cable and a standard UK three-pin plug. This model was primarily designed for 35mm film development in a traditional darkroom environment.
