Lot 972: Victorian Mahogany Leather Top Writing Table
A Victorian mahogany writing table of rectangular form with rounded corners. The top features an inset panel of worn brown leather or leatherette. Below the top are two frieze drawers, each fitted with two turned wooden knob handles. A central keyhole is positioned on the drawer divider. The table is raised on four ring-turned and tapered legs terminating in brass cup casters. A small white rectangular sticker marked 847 is located on the top left frame. A modern inventory label with a barcode and the letters RE is attached to the underside cross-rail. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the exterior.
