Lot 1043: A Mid-Century Modern Onyx and Reeded Brass Floor Lamp
A vintage mid-century modern style floor lamp featuring a tall, slender column composed of three rectangular blocks of polished onyx. The stone displays characteristic pale green and cream tones with prominent brown veining. These stone sections are separated by reeded brass-toned metal spacers and turned brass-effect collars. The entire assembly stands on a heavy, rectangular base made from a single slab of the same onyx with chamfered corners. It is topped with a large, tapered conical shade featuring a textured, parchment-like finish in an off-white colour. The lamp utilizes a brass bayonet-style (B22) bulb holder equipped with an integrated black push-button on/off switch. It is wired with a brown plastic-coated cable and a modern white UK fused three-pin plug. Catalogue Note: This electrical item is sold as an untested decorative object.
